I’ve long found it easy to resist the blogging trend on the grounds that I felt it was self-important to imagine that my personal musings warranted some sort of attention and consideration (maybe even articulation). But I have simply become so sick of so many opportunists (government, media, rebel soldiers, businesses, etc.) with their own agendas claiming to speak for me and to act on my behalf as a faceless member of the public. I intend this blog only as a document of just one voice, even if it is just a peep in a cacophony of squawks. And should this blog devolve into a record of what I ate for the day and other quotidian concerns, my advanced apologies to any lost souls who stumble into this dark corner of virtual space.
